Mr. Brandon McWherter is a partner with the Firm’s Litigation Group. His key concentration areas include assisting insurance policyholders with their claims against insurance companies, construction disputes, and complex litigation. Mr. McWherter has served as class counsel in consumer class actions in Tennessee and other states, and has been active in numerous insurance bad faith cases.
A native of West Tennessee, Mr. McWherter attended Union University, where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He received his law degree from the University of Memphis, where he graduated with honors in 2001. |
While in law school, Mr. McWherter was a member of the University of Memphis Law Review, and served on the Editorial Board as Notes Editor. Mr. McWherter has also published two articles in the University of Memphis Law Review.
Mr. McWherter serves on the boards of civil and non-profit organizations, including the Jackson-Madison County Library Board of Trustees and the City of Jackson Small Business Loan Committee, a board that seeks to make low cost loans to East Jackson citizens who would otherwise be unable to secure financing for their businesses.
Mr. McWherter is admitted to practice in all Tennessee courts, as well as federal courts in the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee. He is a member of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Tennessee Association for Justice.
When not working, you will usually find Mr. McWherter with his wife, Angela, and his two daughters. He is an avid golfer, a lifelong bass fisherman, and a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
