Jonathan Bobbitt's primary practice centers around the area of labor and employment, however, he has a broad range of experience in commercial/corporate matters, business entities, contract law and landlord/tenant disputes. Jonathan holds a B.S.B.A. and a M.B.A. from Union University and received his law degree from the University of Memphis. While in law school, he served on the Editorial Board of the University of Memphis Law Review and received the Dean’s Award of Excellence for Best Oral Advocate. |
Mr. Bobbitt currently serves on the adjunct faculty at Lambuth University. He is the author of “Torts – Trau-Med of America, Inc. v. Allstate Insurance Co.: The Tennessee Supreme Court Recognizes a Cause of Action for the Intentional Interference with Business Relationships,” The University of Memphis Law Review, Vol. 33 Spring 2003.
Mr. Bobbitt’s leadership and volunteer service extends to his alma mater. He previously served on the Graduate School Advisory Board of Union University. Additionally, he served as the president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, vice president of both his junior and senior classes, vice president of Phi Beta Lambda Business Society and a member of the Union University Judicial Board. In 1998, Jonathan was recognized as the Outstanding National President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
Married to the former Karen Langford, Jonathan enjoys running, keeping up with his two children, reading and occasionally playing tennis. He is an active member of Englewood Baptist Church, where he serves on the Deacon Council and teaches in the Student Ministry. Jonathan and Karen have one daughter, Ella, and a son, Will.
